Hopefully they will prove helpful to you. 1- Are you using Outlook to manage mail, calendar and contacts? If so, I'm sure you can identify with the feeling that Outlook is a love/hate relationship. It is a very powerful program. I'm constantly finding new ways to use the tool. I've also spent a lot of time troubleshooting and reading help articles. Recently I discovered the mail merge relationship with MS Word that allows me to send individually addressed messages, like this one, directly to people on my Outlook mailing list. I distributed a short article on the subject in December www.mltweb.com/tools/clicknotes/mailnews.htm I've also used personal folders at home and at work to separate, organize and archive messages and contacts. Personal folders can also be shared between several Outlook users to form a common database. But sometimes, personal folders and even the main Outlook mailbox folder can become corrupt. This slows Outlook to a crawl and can crash the folder or program completely. Last week I discovered a tool that may help you recover from a corrupted Outlook folder. It comes with Outlook and even includes a help file. The file is called scanpst. The tool scans and repairs personal folders (file name with an extension PST) and the main Outlook mailbox (file name with an extension OST). Use the Explorer to search for the SCANPST.HLP and SCANPST executable file on your hard drive. READ THE HELP FILE FIRST. It repaired one of my personal folders that was getting pretty flaky! 2- I also recently discovered a great resource on the web for using Adobe PDF files. I know many people are using PDF files to distribute newsletters, post documents and share files in a compact and common format. I'm still learning the depth of PDF file creation and flexibility. There is a lot more that can be done beyond just posting a simple copy of newsletter. This web site includes a lot of tips and trick as well as links to many PDF related software tools. It's a must-read if you are using PDF files. http://www.planetpdf.com/ I've also used this PDF web site and I'm sure there are many more. http://www.pdfzone.com/ Hope these two tips help you.
