ML Taylor, 2004

The scent of thunder pricks the senses,
brings every sound into sharp relief.
Each chirp and rustle raises a hair,
nostrils flair in crisp clean air.
So too does the scent of newly opened cabernet
on a cool spring evening.
A colorful label and purple-stained cork
ignites the pallet with anticipation.
